Kristen Klingen comes to Elite with nearly 30 years of experience practicing as a licensed Physical Therapist. Kristen is a native Pennsylvanian who graduated from Messiah College with her  Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 1992 and received her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Hahnemann University (now Drexel University) in 1994. Kristen has practiced primarily in the outpatient orthopedic setting where she treats athletes and the general population of all ages and diagnoses. She has completed advanced graduate studies at the Medical College of Virginia where she lectured on physical therapy topics in electrotherapy, shoulder and lumbar pathology, and adverse neural tension of the upper extremity.

She is also a McKenzie certified therapist in mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine and has taken numerous continuing education courses in manual techniques including the Maitland approach, shoulder and elbow disorders, running injury recovery/prevention, ART, and Kinesiotaping. Kristen also treats the pediatric population with diagnoses of torticolis, gross motor delay, sensory processing disorders, and sports injuries. Kristen’s philosophy of care focuses on communication and education of the patient and family along with a progressive program based on current clinical practice guidelines to optimize return to function and quality of life.

Kristen and her husband reside in Chester County,  enjoy spending time outdoors, and traveling with their four children and one adorable miniature Bernadoodle.    She also enjoys running, golfing, and most any other sport to watch or play- especially Philadelphia’s finest teams: The Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, and Union.
