Where is My Pain Coming From?
Hand and wrist pain can be caused by various factors, including injuries, muscle strains, overuse, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and other medical conditions – as well as repetitive hand movements related to your job or other physical activities.
Physical therapy can be a very beneficial approach to relieve pain, address the causes, and help to prevent problems in the future. We offer a variety of treatments designed for your unique condition and needs.

What We Treat
Wrist Range of Motion Exercises
Our physical therapists can prescribe a variety of exercises to address your specific wrist issues, including:
- Flexor Stretch: Gently bend your wrist down and use your opposite hand to apply slight pressure.
- Extensor Stretch: Gently bend your wrist upward, using your opposite hand for support.
- Radial/Ulnar Deviation: Move your wrist from side to side.
Nerve Gliding Exercises
For carpal tunnel syndrome, your therapist may teach you nerve gliding exercises to help improve the mobility of the median nerve.
Joint Mobilization
We will perform hands-on techniques to mobilize and improve the movement of the wrist and hand joints.
Activity Modification
We may suggest modifications to your daily activities to reduce strain on your wrists and hands.
